The West Jackson Fire District was established in March 1968 to provide fire protection for the West Jackson community.

The district is approximately 30 square miles in area and covers the town of Braselton, the city of Hoschton and parts of unincorporated Jackson county.

Jackson County Emergency Services provides EMS for our district. Jackson County CERT also responds to this area to assist with natural disasters.

Braselton Police Department and Jackson County Sheriff's office provide law enforcement for the district.

Our neighboring Fire Departments are; Barrow County Emergency Services, Hall County Fire Services, Jackson Trail Volunteer Fire Department, North Jackson Fire Department. Other departments in Jackson County are; Arcade Fire, Commerce Fire Department, Harrisburg Fire Department, Jackson County CI, Jefferson Fire Department, Maysville Volunteer Fire Department, Nicholson Fire Department, Plainview Fire Department and South Jackson Fire Department
